My name is Luke, and I am a full-time Mathematics and Science teacher with experience teaching classes from Year 7 Mathematics and Science through to Year 10. I am a fully registered teacher and the Head of Mathematics Tutor Learning Initiative Program (Numeracy Development) at my school. I firmly believe there are many ways to go about developing mathematical proficiency and scientific aptitude for all types of learners and your child will be no exception. Drawing from my own personal experiences overcoming math challenges, I understand that a child who feels safe and supported in their learning, will much faster realise their potential. I will guide and support your learning to build upon your previous understandings tailored to your unique perspectives and experiences to help you achieve your own version of educational success. Over the past six years of my career in education providing tutoring, learning support and full-time teaching, I have helped my students: • Understand key theories, without the need to rote-learn entire concepts. • Interpret more complex application-style questions. • Acknowledge and apply the interrelated nature of previous theories. • Identify students’ specific point of need and develop personalised improvement strategies to address each students unique learning style.
