Sarah M
Tutoring near Brunswick East, Melbourne, VIC & Melbourne, Melbourne, VIC

I am a recent graduate from Monash University, from which I hold a Bachelor of Arts. My major is International Relations with minors in French and Human Rights. I have extensive experience in mentoring, tutoring and teaching in addition to having undergone extensive professional development in such areas.

My most recent job role was as a Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) Leader wherein I was employed by Monash University to facilitate academic peer mentoring programs for first year French students once a week for semesters one and two of 2019. Additionally, I worked as a private violin teacher with students of all ages from preliminary - grade 6 AMEB (2017-2019).

I am able to offer students assistance in subjects relating to social sciences, international relations, english, essay writing skills, violin, beginner French lessons, and public speaking. Fun fact about me: I used to work as an actor (in London, 2013-2015), so I have a lot of very handy tips if you're struggling with presentation skills!

I am a very relaxed and easy going person, and love helping young people in achieving their goals. Owing to my extensive experience in teaching and tutoring, I'm very adaptable to the needs of my students and am always eager to share effective and valuable study tips.

I also possess a valid Working With Children Check and am happy to provide references for anyone interested in utilising my services. Don't hesitate to get in contact should you have any questions! :)

  • Represented Monash University at the International Conference on Sustainable Development in New York (2019), for which I received a scholarship. The research I presented was an evaluation of the Australian education system and capacity for young people to be empowered to engage with sustainable development.
