Hi! I'm Caitlin. I graduated from Hillbrook Anglican School in 2018 with an OP1 (ATAR 99+). I achieved the highest result in my cohort for Maths Methods and Geography. I am currently completing a dual degree in a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Biomedical Science at UQ. I have achieved GPA 7s in university level chemistry, biology, statistics, psychology, contract law and tort law subjects. I have also recently been awarded the Queensland Environmental Law Association prize for receiving the highest overall mark for Environmental Law in 2023 at UQ.
I am a highly experienced tutor with over seven years of experience. I have worked with over 70 students from grades 4 to 12 whether that be assisting with specific subjects or providing general homework and organisation skills guidance. I am well versed in the Queensland Curriculum (QCAA) and ATAR system and I always tailor my tutoring methods to ensure that my students achieve their goals.
I've also participated in volunteer programs such as The Smith Family's Student2Student Reading Program. At the end of 2017 I travelled to Cambodia with a non-profit aid and development organisation to help build houses for displaced people. I participated in the USQ Mooting Competition and was in countless school bands and ensembles playing saxophone.
I love to be involved and put my all into everything. I enjoy seeing my students progress and it's great to know I've contributed to that outcome. I will always review what I'm teaching prior to the tutoring session. I realise there are many learning styles and I try to adjust my explanations and methods to the individual's needs. I see the importance of consistent communication with parents and my students to optimise the benefits that one-on-one tutoring offers so I am always willing to review and discuss students’ progress after the session.
I currently have limited availability so please message me if you would like to discuss. I look forward to working with you!
Please note, I may charge a driving fee for at home visits depending on location. Please message for details.
