About
Hi! I’m Hayley, a Law, International Relations and Philosophy student at Bond University and an Excellence Scholarship recipient. I graduated high school with an ATAR of 94.55, with Philosophy, English and Legal Studies among my strongest subjects. I also studied Modern History, Geography, Asian Studies (UTAS), Business, Theology & Religion and General Mathematics. I also hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
One of the things I’m most proud of is my academic journey. I went from being an average student in Year 7 to achieving A grades by Year 12, ultimately earning a 94.55 ATAR. This taught me something I carry into my tutoring: you are not defined by your grade. Your grade reflects where you are right now and, often, the strategy you are using; not your ability or potential.
Because I’ve experienced that change myself, I want to be more than just a tutor. I want to be a strong role model for the students I work with and show them that struggling with a subject doesn't mean they aren’t capable. Sometimes, you simply haven’t found the right approach yet.
My tutoring style is positive, patient and encouraging. I break complex concepts into simple, manageable steps before building towards deeper understanding, critical thinking and independent problem-solving. I can help students with essay writing, assessment preparation, written responses, study strategies, time management, and the development of effective learning habits.
Ultimately, I want my students to leave a session with more than just a better understanding of the content. I want them to leave thinking: “I can do this. I just need to find the strategy that works for me.”
