Hi! I'm Ben, a 2023 graduate from Gregory Terrace and experienced tutor currently studying a Doctor of Medicine at Griffith.
I was dux of my cohort with an ATAR of 99.90 and also duxed many subjects throughout high school including maths every grade from 6 to 12, physics in grade 11 and 12 and economics in grade 11.

Every tutoring session is tailored to the individual student, with a focus not only on exam and assignment preparation, but also on developing a strong understanding of course content, effective study habits, organisation and time management. I strongly believe that the best results come from genuinely understanding what you are doing, rather than simply memorising a process. Throughout my sessions, I constantly challenge students to explain why they are taking each step and how they arrived at an answer, helping them develop the deeper understanding and problem-solving skills needed to confidently tackle unfamiliar questions.
I have over three years tutoring experience with a range of year levels and am happy to tutor any grade in any junior maths/science/business subjects as well as any of the senior subjects listed above. As a medical student, I am also happy to provide general advice and guidance to students considering a pathway into medicine.
I generally work with students on an ongoing basis, with at least weekly sessions, allowing us to build understanding and confidence throughout the term rather than focusing solely on short-term exam or assignment preparation.
I went into my Year 12 external exams on full marks across all of my subjects, so I also have plenty of high-quality study resources, strategies and tips to help students achieve their best results.

Years 10-12: $100/hr
