Hello! My name is Grace and I am in Grade 10. I am currently studying accelerated Grade 11 Literature and Grade 11 Maths Methods. I offer tutoring in both grade 9 and below for Maths, and grade 8 and below for English. Currently, I am in an Honours program at school, which is only available for students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and have received multiple achievements (around the top 10 - 15th percentile of the whole grade). I have additionally achieved a full mark in my recent Unit 1 Maths Methods exam. Additionally, I have been in the accelerated Maths course since year seven and the Accelerated English course since year 9. Last year, I received a distinction in the AMA (Australian Maths Competition). Aside from school I also participate in multiple extra-curricular activities so I understand how sometimes, the workload can become intimidating for many students. I enjoy playing the cello and I achieved a high A for my Grade 5 AMEB cello exam last year. I also attend GCYO (Gold Coast Youth Symphony) on a weekly basis. Using my experience I can advise stressed students on how to organise their time to manage their workload as well as help them in their academic studies. I find that maths is all about practise, in order to fully master a topic, you need to go through each step thoroughly. I can teach students which steps need to be completed in order to finish a complex question if there are multiple variables. English is more about creativity, expanding and explaining different points. I will go through ways to make your creative writing better, sentence structures and general structures of essays and creative narratives.
