Tutoring near Kenmore, Brisbane, QLD

About

I am currently a year 10 student at Kenmore State High School and have achieved straight A's in all of my academic subjects pretty consistently over the years. I've been working in retail/customer service for the past 11 months but am wanting to utilise my other skills, namely, tutoring. At school, I am able to help my friends after lessons by revising the content and clarifying any uncertainties they have. At cadets, having the rank of Cadet Corporal means being a role model and being responsible for the learning of the younger cadets. Moreover, with cadets, I participate in the Duke of Ed award which pushes me to experience new things that I can then use to teach others. Through my experience both at school and at cadets, I have discovered that my ideal teaching style should be the one that benefits the student the most. This requires trial and error, patience and care - all things that I will take into consideration when tutoring. In general, I am prepared to help students complete homework and revise for exams by re-explaining any concepts that cause confusion, as well as, providing written/verbal feedback on assignments if applicable/needed. Majority of this help will be conducted during the allocated sessions, but I am still happy to answer/help with the occasional question outside of hours if I am able to do so.
