Hey everyone, my name is Sanja, and I am currently in my second year of studying a Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours), with majors in Finance and Marketing, at the University of Queensland. I graduated from St Rita’s College in 2022 as Academic Captain, with a raw ATAR score of 97.60, and as the Dux of English in my cohort. In my senior years I studied English, Literature, Study of Religion, Mathematical Methods, English and Literature Extension, and Visual Art. In each of these subjects I faired extremely well, achieving 99/100 in English and 97/100 in Literature, English & Literature Extension, and Study of Religion. As a result, I specialise in tutoring English, Literature, and English and Literature Extension. Additionally, I am able to assist students in developing strong writing skills and offer proof-reading services for other written-based subjects. Throughout my schooling I studied, and completed assessment on, many of Shakespeare’s works, including Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, Macbeth, and King Lear. Consequently, I developed a strong passion for, and knowledge of these works, and very much enjoy tutoring these assessment pieces. From my experience with external exams and the ATAR system, I believe in developing a comprehensive knowledge about the relevant subject, to ensure that the student can provide adaptive responses. Additionally, I learned many studying techniques and writing strategies, which proved more than valuable in my exams and transition to university. In my tutoring, I focus on a ‘student-led approach’. This helps to tackle the student’s main concerns with their subject and ensures that they are able to actively engage in the tutoring session. I will never judge a student based on their abilities, and always offer a supportive and understanding attitude to my students. I believe everyone has room to improve and would love to help students do this. I offer both online and in-person tutoring in Brisbane.
