⭐IB 42.75 | ATAR 99.20 | 4+ years tutoring experience | Hi, my name is Adheesha Suraweera and I graduated from the Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology (QASMT) in 2023, having successfully completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program from which I received an IB 42.75 (equivalent to ATAR 99.20). I am currently a student at the University of Queensland in my final year of a Bachelor of Science (M Biomedical Science) continuing onto the Doctor of Medicine (MD). ⭐ Experience and teaching style: I have over 4 years and 600+ hours of experience with tutoring students and have excellent communication and understanding of students’ needs to help facilitate their full academic potential. As a highly conscientious and diligent tutor, I also have a myriad of resources to assist students: detailed content notes, my exemplar assignments (all high scoring >90%) and IB style question banks. My teaching style is adaptable to each student; I am more than willing to have the student direct the session (e.g. by preparing questions that I can answer and cover in detail during the session) or have a didactic style in which the student can brief me on what needs to be covered (e.g. specific topic / subtopic) and then I prepare material beforehand and teach students in lots of depth.
