⭐IB 42.75 | ATAR 99.20 | Studying Bachelor of Engineering (honours)/Master of Engineering at UQ Hi, my name is Adheesha Suraweera and I recently graduated from the Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology (QASMT), having successfully completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program from which I received an IB 42.75 (equivalent to ATAR 99.20). ⭐ Subjects I offer help for: - Chemistry (SL or HL) --> received 23/24 for IA - English Language and Literature (SL or HL) --> received 20/20 for HL essay - Psychology (SL or HL) - Physics (SL) --> received 23/24 for IA - Maths (AA SL) - Theory of Knowledge --> received 9/10 for TOK essay (received 'A' grade overall) ⭐️ Prices (hourly): $45 Online $55-65 in-person (depending on location) ⭐ Experience and teaching style: I have over a year’s experience with tutoring students and have excellent communication and understanding of students’ needs to help facilitate their full academic potential. As a highly conscientious and diligent tutor, I also have a myriad of resources to assist students: detailed content notes, my exemplar assignments (all high scoring >90%) and IB style question banks. My teaching style is adaptable to each student; I am more than willing to have the student direct the session (e.g. by preparing questions that I can answer and cover in detail during the session) or have a didactic style in which the student can brief me on what needs to be covered (e.g. specific topic / subtopic) and then I prepare material beforehand and teach students in lots of depth. Students may also contact me offline for any quick questions or queries and I will respond as soon as I can :) ⭐ Internal Assessments (IAs), Theory of Knowledge (TOK): - Having achieved very high marks in all of my IAs, I can provide proofreading and feedback. I am happy to discuss IA related material during lessons, or else students may send me their work for me to peruse outside of lesson times (offline) and then provide written feedback (offline is $60 per IA/TOK essay). I received a 9/10 for my TOK essay so I can help guide students with their prescribed essay titles and proofread responses.
