About

Hi, my name is Darcy and I am currently studying the Bachelor of Education (Primary) at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where I am expected to graduate at the end of 2024. I am twenty one years old and I have been tutoring primary school and high school students for over five years. Alongside my passion for teaching, I will also pursue a masters degree in inclusive and trauma-aware education. I have a current paid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and I am in the process of gaining qualifications in first aid and anaphylaxis/asthma management. I tutor subjects within the ACARA and QCAA, where I thoroughly enjoy working with my students where I ensure that that their individual strengths and interests are at the heart of my practice. While my teaching does specialise in the Humanities (English, Literature, Modern History, Ancient History), I also provide proofreading, editing and drafting services to all of my students. I believe that this service is of particular importance during my students' assessment periods as it ensures that they progress with the writing of their assessment in a timely manner and immediate feedback is essential for their learning. I am inclusive of all identities and I am able to support students of a wide range of abilities, particularly students with Dyslexia or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or ADHD. I am kind, patient and I can establish rapport with students of all personality types quickly and easily. I tutor all of my students online via Google Meet and I also offer editing services via email in a shared Google Classroom. If you are interested in the services that I offer, please don't hesitate to contact me through this website. If you have any questions, please do let me know. I look forward to hear from you.
