I have completed my Masters in Learning and Teaching (Secondary). From this, I built networks and friendships with passionate and caring educators who are currently working all around the nation. I have worked as a Diverse Learning Coordinator in a high school in Brisbane - helping students with diverse learning needs. I collaborate with the work of other case managers, teacher aides, tutors, teachers, specialist teachers, allied health professionals, paediatricians and parents to find optimal approaches and strategies to support students given the range of their learning needs. After completing AMusA in piano, I ran my own piano teaching business (Happy Keys Piano Lessons) making my own resources and teaching from ages 4 to adults. From this, I was able to transform those who have never touched a piano to become music entertainers for the public at markets, cafes and restaurants. Where learners are multidimensional, it was amazing tapping into the potential of young people and seeing them grow in just that one aspect. I have also worked as a gymnastics (WAG) coach supporting young peoples' health, wellbeing, self-confidence and self-belief. Back in the day, I graduated high school with ATAR 99.6 achieving VHAs in Maths (Maths B and C - Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics equivalent), Chemistry, Physics, Music, Music Extension and HA in English. I firmly believe that learning should be a positive experience and education is to be used as a tool to help you reach goals in what you want to do in life. Life and learning is not always a smooth, straight line and support is always available to help us achieve anything good to help others. Despite the achievements above, I have undergone heartbreaking and self-esteem shattering failures. It is from failures and hardships that help one grow to the next level.
