About

Provisional Psychologist | Valedictorian Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) | Academic Scholarship Recipient | Graduate Women Gold Coast Award Recipient | Master of Clinical Psychology Student Nice to meet you! I’m Charly, a Provisional Psychologist looking to utilise my love of learning to help students excel, cope, and better manage their studies. I graduated high school in QLD in 2018 and was awarded an academic scholarship to study my Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at Bond University from 2019 to 2021. During these studies, I maintained a semester grade average of >85% and received nine first in class awards for the following subjects: Statistics and Data Analysis 1, Social Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Biological Psychology, Understanding and Changing Behaviour, Multivariate Research Methods, Human Experimental Psychology, Professional Psychology, Honours Thesis. My greatest academic achievement was being recognised by the Graduate Women Gold Coast Association where I was awarded the Sybil Vise AM Award for outstanding academic achievement and dedication. In my final years of high school, I studied English Extension, Maths B, Economics, Accounting, and Business Management. I maintained an A- average for all schooling subjects from Grades 7 to 12. I am experienced in all things English and humanities, as well as general math, science, and technology. I offer my services to all types of learners, whether that be students who are struggling to understand the content that is being taught and pass subjects or high achieving students that are seeking more support to maximise their academic potential. I am a Psychologist by trade so my services are grounded in evidence-based practices to maximise learning, including helping individuals identify and utilise their dominant learning styles (e.g., practical, auditory, written), manage their anxiety, stress and motivation toward academic endeavours, and collaborating to create an action plan to achieve their SMART goals. Although my role as a tutor is specific to the needs of each student, my services typically include assignment planning and feedback, draft checking, exam preparation, oral presentation practice, and academic skill development. I am a very passionate and driven person that has the intention to help students better understand the content they are learning, and in turn, feel more confident in themselves and their abilities. If you or your child are seeking more academic support, it would be my pleasure to help! I provide academic support to both high school and university students, as well as ESL learners on the Gold Coast. I have my blue card (working with children), yellow card (disability worker screening), and National Police Check which I’m happy to present upon request. I also have an unrestricted drivers license and I am willing to travel for a reasonable surcharge.
