About
My name is Mingyang Cai. I prefer to be called Charlie. I'm a native Chinese and a Master of Applied Linguistics at UQ. I have previously taught many students English using various language-teaching approaches. As my first language, Chinese can be acquired by you very easily with my teaching, as well as English as my second language. In addition, I'm a Bachelor of Process Equipment and Control Engineering. As a result, Mathematics can also be taught by me.
1. Location:
Normally, I prefer to have face-to-face lessons in order to achieve better learning outcomes. My apartment or a public place, such as library, university, or cafe, would be preferable. In some cases, I can also accept online teaching with consideration of the potential influence on learning outcomes.
2. Time:
Normally, I prefer to have a 2-hour lesson at a time including a 10-minute break in the middle. But this is negotiable, as well as the number of times per week, according to students' individual availability, schedule, and needs.
3. Content:
The specific teaching content depends heavily on students' individual needs. Generally, it can include daily communication, business communication, examination preparation, or casual learning. In order to set up the teaching content, I will consider students' age, language context, learning aims, and language proficiency. Therefore, a brief self-introduction would be preferable before the lessons.
4. Others:
Not everyone can be as fluent as native speakers, but everyone can learn and communicate with native speakers nearly without the language barrier.
