Hi! I’m David, and I have a dual degree in Bachelor of Mathematics/Computer Science, completed at the end of 2025 at UQ. Obtaining my degree gave me excellent experience in learning how to communicate and work with other students, consolidating my now over 4 years of tutoring experience. Additionally, my high school education was filled with passionate learners at Queensland Academy for Science, Mathematics and Technology and I thoroughly enjoyed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program taught there. I have always been passionate about mathematics and have participated in many competitions and events throughout high school. I love teaching others mathematics and improving their skills and get the most out of it when genuine progress is being made. Additionally, I am very interested in technology and have learnt many topics over the years. I can program in python, java and C, and can assist with networks, databases and other programming topics. I have a thorough and detailed understanding of IB Mathematics and Computer Science, and the way students can approach work in a way that allows them to complete it in a focused manner. Furthermore, I also have a deep understanding of the Queensland curriculum, having helped many students across General, Methods and Specialist mathematics as well as mathematics for grades 7-10. I am able to tutor students from grades 7-12 in practically any mathematics and computing related subjects. Additionally, I can tutor most first-year university courses in computing and mathematics. I am also happy to proofread and suggest advice for assignments.
