Hi everyone, I'm Arjun, a 4th-year Monash Medical Student. Having graduated from Brisbane Grammar School, I achieved an ATAR of 99.75 thanks to consistent 95+ subject scores. Recently, I also achieved a 99th percentile result on the UCAT, which, together with successful interviews, garnered medical offers from all over Australia and the UK. It is this, along with almost four years of tutoring experience, that has enabled me to be a successful tutor for high school subjects and medical interviews.
Having succeeded in the ATAR system, I understand how to ensure your child achieves their full potential in high school. The subjects I took were Biology (97%), Chemistry (98%), French (97%), Economics (99% on Internal Assessment), English (97%) and Mathematical Methods (97%).
Tutoring has always been a passion of mine; I love seeing my students achieve beyond their expectations. As a tutor, I adopt a structured method to learning, in which complex topics will be divided into smaller, manageable parts. For subjects like Chemistry, English and Biology, it's critical to break down broader concepts into smaller topics based on the criteria to enable success.
With the right help, tackling the ATAR is much less challenging than it may seem. As a tutor, I work with students to formulate a study plan that suits their learning methods, all while explaining usable strategies, distributing practice exams and reviewing assignments and classwork. This holistic method to teaching ensures students develop the understanding required to achieve their absolute best in each subject.
In my final year of school, I tutored middle school students and peers as a member of my school's Academic Support Committee. On top of this experience, I have acquired almost four years of private tutoring experience, which means I've developed a complete understanding of the needs of students undertaking high school and ATAR.
On top of a free online consultation to get to know you, I offer online tutoring ($60/hr) on Zoom for students at any year level including Year 12. Having realised the importance of preparation first-hand, I also provide tutoring for medical interviews and guidance on the medical admissions process. I also hold a valid Working with Children Check.
