Hi, I’m Courtney! I’m a qualified high school maths teacher, but my passion is tutoring! I have completed a Bachelor of Science, Extended Major in Mathematics with a GPA of 5.96, and a Graduate Diploma of Education with a GPA of 6.167, both at UQ St Lucia. I have been tutoring at the university since my second year. I can tutor all levels of high school maths, from Year 7 Maths, to Year 12 Essential Maths, General Maths, Maths Methods, and Specialist Maths. I can also tutor most first-year university maths courses. What I love most about tutoring is the spark in a student’s eyes, the lightbulb moment when they finally ‘get’ a concept they’ve been struggling with. As a classroom teacher, it can be hard to find the opportunity to help each individual student. As a tutor, I can work one-on-one, or with small groups, to give each student the assistance they need to achieve to their full potential.
