Hey! I'm Yufei and I graduated from QASMT in 2018 with an IB 43 (ATAR 99.70 equivalent). I received 7's in Maths B, Chemistry, Physics, Mandarin and 6's in English and Business Management. In 2020, I graduated from my bachelors program (GPA 7.00). I am now studying the Doctor of Medicine program at Griffith University.
I've tutored countless OP, ATAR, and IB students ever since 2019. I was previously employed at QASMT for individual and group tutoring. With over two years of teaching experience, my current focus is now private tutoring; to provide personalized, comprehensive help for my students.
I pride myself in always creating a safe, comfortable yet hard-working learning environment in my sessions. I hold a blue card for working with children, a national police check certificate and updated first aid qualifications to aid in this.
The best tutor isn't the brightest or the most hard-working person; it is someone who knows what it feels like to struggle and someone who understands how to overcome these hardships. I am truly passionate about tutoring and I'm proud of the guidance that I have offered to my past and current students. I am confident that with the right guidance and hard work, anyone can excel.
I tutor both grades 10-12 as well as younger students (grades 6-9) and can help them with all school subjects and aiding in the development of the skills they need to succeed later on in their education. I can prepare students for selective high school entry, by working on their logical and abstract reasoning, numeracy and writing skills. I can also do intensive sessions for any students that are really looking to get ahead.
I provide GAMSAT tutoring for section 2 and 3. By working through questions and a variety of essay stimuli with students, I am able to communicate my reasoning and my train of thought which will lead to the correct answer. GAMSAT is evidently a high-stakes exam and as such, I am able to provide more comprehensive help surrounding med school entry as I am currently a medical student.
