About

I am a Head of Mathematics in a high school with 14 years experience teaching. In my position, I am responsible for designing the courses for the new ATAR Mathematics subjects so I have a working knowledge of the new system in QLD - SATE preparation is something which I can offer. I have over 15 years experience of private tutoring ranging from middle primary years to upper secondary school. My particular strength is dealing with students who were quite capable in previous years however recently have experienced a decline in results. This could be due to many reasons however the most common one I have found is a breakdown in communication and relationship with the current teacher. Another possible reason could be a lack of motivation or direction in their studies. Edit August 2019 ***Due to high demand from parents and students, I have started running group tutorial classes on the weekends in Sunnybank. Classes will run on Saturday afternoon. The groups will be capped at a maximum of 5 students and they will be based on academic ability and year level. Your student would need to come in for a pre-test to ensure they are being placed in the appropriate group along with an quick interview to make sure that the fit is appropriate. Students excel when working with peers and in many cases assist each other creating stronger links with the concepts and as a result, experience a boost in confidence which can lead to better results not only in their Mathematics.*** Please send me a message for more details.

Bachelor of Educarion - Maths and IT I have been a Mathematics teacher since 2005. I have been a Head of Department for Mathematics in Queensland Education since 2015. I am responsible for leading the development of mathematics curriculum for the entire school. I am able to provide support to students who are advanced or core level students. I am also able to provide support to students who find they are behind or struggle in Mathematics.

I tutor from my home office where we will have access to all of my resources. It also allows me to remain flexible for my other students. I am a registered teacher and will provide you with all credentials upon first session should you require.
