Hello, I'm Irene - I completed studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education and Mathematics at Macquarie University in 2023. I've done placements at various Sydney high schools teaching students from Year 7-12 and am now teaching mathematics full time at high school. As a teacher, I know what maths is like at school and hence how it can be highly beneficial for additional 1:1 assistance. I also completed the HSC in 2019 achieving the highest band in Maths Extension 1 and placing 1st in Yr 11 Maths. I will specialise lessons to suit your specific needs by focusing on weaker topics and help you understand key concepts that you struggle with. I aim to ensure you truly understand and develop a passion for maths! I have 6 years of experience tutoring at both a primary and high school level and I am dedicated to help you make a difference in your education by assisting you improve in the long term. Irene was so patient with tutoring me in my senior years. I’ve always struggled with maths, though Irene explained each concept with me so thoroughly that even my pea-sized brain could understand what to do after a few practice questions. She’s very kind and I highly recommend choosing her as your tutor, and despite external circumstances not letting me attend school often, I managed to get a Band 4 in maths because of her wonderful teaching.

Irene has been an excellent tutor for our daughter, so patient & understanding with quick abilities to recognise and custom tailor the private tutoring as required. Our daughter went from struggling and failing to achieving over 85% in her assignment and last two Advance Maths year 12 exams. Irene has great tutoring techniques, is always on time and has a good sense of humour. She also kindly reviewed assessments outside of tutoring and was great with timely communication. Our daughter is so much happier and looks forward to school maths and Irene’s visits. Can highly recommend Irene.

Irene is a knowledgable tutor, who works hard with students to identify the level that they’re at so that she can support them to improve their results. As a student, she was extremely capable and motivated, so it was unsurprising that she graduated with flying colours.
