Economics and Business specialist.
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic ATAR Economics and Business management teacher with an inner passion for education. I have been teaching for 27 years and during this time I developed an eagerness to also assist students outside of the classroom situation. I have successfully run Winter revision programs and study skills sessions. I was also the Head of the Commerce dept at a prestigious private school in Cape Town. I find that a one on one environment is so beneficial and that a boost to a student’s confidence and making them believe in their true abilities does wonders to their results. I tutor a wide range of students, (Year 6-12) some are long term, some I assist with study skills, assessment preparation, organisational and time management skills and some I tutor only before Exams. Different payment plans are available according to the student’s needs. I am committed to helping your child in the best possible way and will tailor make a tutor program to specifically suit his/her educational needs. I have found that Year 11 and 12 students hugely benefit from receiving study skills tutoring and organisational/time management tutoring during the holidays when they have free time and are less stressed. I am an Economics/Business/English specialist but can teach across a wide range of subjects.

Education
I have taught Economics, Business Finance ,English and Humanities for 18 years. I have a Master of Education (MEd) an honours degree in education, a PGCE and a BA degree specializing in Economics. I also hold a TEFL (Teach English as a foreign language) diploma. I am registered with the TRBWA and have a working with children check. I attended school and University in South Africa. My Masters degree was undertaken at the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
