Hi! I’m Kurtis, an alumnus of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), holding a double degree in Actuarial Studies and Mathematics. I am currently completing a Master of Data Science, further deepening my expertise in advanced quantitative and statistical modelling. Leveraging my strong background in mathematics and my professional experience as a data scientist, I am dedicated to helping students excel in their studies of mathematics — and hopefully fall in love with the subject as I have. 2026 marks my 10th year of tutoring. Over the past decade, I have led my own tutoring practice and take pride in the one-on-one guidance I have provided students who have gone on to achieve outstanding ATAR results — including scores as high as 99.95. I offer online tuition, using structured digital tools (including live iPad annotation and real-time problem walkthroughs) to ensure clarity, flexibility, and high engagement in every session. I completed my HSC at Marist College Kogarah in 2016, studying Extension II (4U) Mathematics, Extension I (3U) Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Standard English. Since then, my university studies and professional experience in data science have deepened my exposure to advanced mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, finance, engineering and business. Having guided students for a decade, I have developed a deep familiarity with the HSC’s structure and expectations, as well as strategies to take advantage of how HSC exams are evaluated and ATARS are graded. Further to being an educator, I am a fervent learner, with an immense passion for education and development. Over the years, I have curated a significant trove of resources that can immensely benefit any student. I eagerly await the opportunity to guide future students, with my knowledge and experience, through the gruelling HSC journey and help them realise their potential and achieve their goals.
