Only offering HSC English Extension 1/2 lessons.
Hi, my name is Isabella, a qualified English teacher with ten years experience working in the education sector, and a current PhD candidate with the School of Education at UNSW. I have worked for many years teaching English to students from public, private and selective schools across Sydney, and with the not-for-profit creative writing centre Story Factory.
While working for the Department of Education as an English teacher, I taught Extension 2 English classes at one of the top selective schools in NSW - a job that I miss very much sometimes! If you are an Extension 2 English student set to graduate in 2025/2026, I would love to work with you to help you develop your voice as a writer and produce a major work that you will always be proud of. I am highly familiar with the curriculum requirements and marking criteria for the subject, so we can work towards your ATAR goals together.
I have postgraduate Master of Teaching (Secondary) (English) qualifications, and undergraduate qualifications in both Psychology and English. I received a first-class Honours grade for my English thesis on cultural melancholy and critical race theory in 2019, and graduated from my postgraduate teaching degree with excellence in 2022.
Teaching and English are my two greatest passions. If you are interested in lessons, please get in touch.

Really loved having Isabella as an English tutor for my final two years of high school. Her standards were very high and I learnt a lot from her each lesson. She made me work very hard and achieve great English marks so I highly recommend you see her for a lesson.
