13 years+ tutoring experience // 99+ ATAR Hello! I'm Mei, a highly experienced private tutor specialising in Maths. I am a PhD Science candidate at the University of Sydney interested in epidemiology and disease modelling. In 2020, I completed my Honours in Applied Mathematics, and majored in Mathematics and Immunology (Bachelor of Science - Advanced). I endeavour to pass on the joy and satisfaction of learning to equip students with a stronger academic background. I wish to help students who are struggling with their school work to secure a strong foundation for understanding complex topics. I also enjoy helping students develop an edge/acceleration on their school work to expose themselves to more knowledge. My experience: - I have over 13 years of experience tutoring primary to high school students, and 4 years of experience tutoring university students. - I have tutored students who have topped their cohorts in various subjects and had students achieving All Rounders in their HSC. Highlights include transforming academic performance from students achieving in the low 50% range to high 80% range within a few weeks. Teaching style: - I provide personalised lessons and adapt them to my student's interests. - I'm patient, kind and strict in a friendly way, to allow my students to achieve success. - I guide my students to their moments of insight through different techniques and confidence-building tasks to ensure that they achieve their full potential.
