Hello! I'm Emma, and I graduated from Carey Baptist Grammar in 2023 with an ATAR of 99.45. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theatre Studies/Ancient World Studies at the University of Melbourne, and loving it! I'm an experienced and passionate tutor who loves teaching and receives genuine fulfilment by helping you to achieve your goals. In my VCE, I achieved study scores of 50 in Ancient History and Psychology, 47 in Theatre Studies and 45 in Literature and History Revolutions. I also received the Premier's Award and was the top student in the state for Ancient History. In my studies at Unimelb, I am averaging a first-class honours across the board, and am a resident at Ormond College. I specialise in tutoring at the VCE level in Literature, History and Theatre Studies, but I'm also experienced with VCE English as well as pre-VCE support. I also do essay marking and offer extensive feedback for every essay I mark, including detailed annotations and a written summary. My tutoring style is structured but flexible; I plan our lessons together, but am adaptable to your needs week to week. I would describe myself as passionate but patient, someone who strives for sustainable skill development and love of learning in my students, rather than simply going after a perfect study score. This is part of my ethos as a tutor; I will always meet students where they are at instead of trying to game the VCE system. However, I also enjoy pushing those students who are looking for top marks to their absolute best.
