Jacob S.

Hi! My name is Jacob and I am currently offering year 10, year 11 and 12 mathematic advanced tutoring. A bit about me: I was never gifted nor good at maths. I was hovering around rank 73 in year 11 but I managed to graduate 1st among the 2026 year 12 cohort at Sydney Technical High school in Mathematics Advanced. Throughout my studies, I have found that prioritising spaced repetition and solidifying mathematical theories and concepts in detail have been particularly meaningful towards greater performance in Advanced Mathematics. I am offering Year 10, 11 and 12 Mathematics Advanced. I’ve written my own lesson notes and exercise booklets for the new 2024 syllabus, using real HSC and trial exam questions I have handpicked so students practice can translate smoothly into what gets tested. Lesson Outline: • 1.5 or 2 hours: conceptual focus, followed by guided exam-style practice • Clear, take-home notes and exercises • Adaptable to specific topics or harder concepts upon request. Course delivery: • In-person mathematics coaching. • Flexible public locations, preferably at Wentworth Point Community Centre, but also available at Lidcombe library and Yarra Community Centre. Payment: • $50/hr introductory rate until ATAR results are released. Billing is flexible.
