Arnav A.

Hi, I'm Arnav, a first-year student at UNSW studying Computer Engineering (Honours) and Commerce, majoring in Finance. I finished Year 12 at Crestwood High School in 2025 with an ATAR of 97.50, so I know the HSC well and remember what it's like to be in your shoes. I teach maths at every level, from Year 7 right through to the HSC, and science for Years 7 to 10. I've been tutoring maths since March 2026 with Tutor Doctor and EzyMaths. At school I was also a peer tutor and peer support leader, helping younger students with their studies and settling into high school. I enjoy it because there's nothing better than the moment a student finally understands something that was confusing them. My approach is to break problems into small, logical steps and explain them in different ways until one clicks, because every student learns differently. I'm patient, I never make anyone feel bad for asking questions, and I focus on building real understanding rather than just memorising methods. That way students can handle unfamiliar questions in exams with confidence. I'm reliable and organised. I keep track of each student's progress and give parents clear, honest updates, and I plan my lessons around what each student needs to work on next. I've also been a house captain, an elected student representative and a community group leader, so I'm comfortable working with people of all ages. In my spare time I play soccer, compete in chess, where I represented my school at the state finals, and enjoy technology and investing. I'd love to help you or your child build skills and confidence. Get in touch to talk about what you need and arrange a trial lesson.
