Hi, I’m Ryan. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) at Western Sydney University, specialising in Mathematics and Biology. I offer tutoring in Mathematics and Science, particularly for secondary school students. As a future teacher, I’m interested not only in helping students get the correct answer, but also in helping them understand why a method works and become more confident solving problems independently. My stronger subjects throughout high school included Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. I have also completed teaching placement experience in a Sydney secondary school, where I have worked with students in classroom settings and practised explaining scientific and mathematical concepts in different ways. My teaching style is patient, structured and interactive. I normally start by finding out what the student already understands, identify the part they are struggling with, explain the concept step by step, and then work through examples together before asking the student to try independently. I also encourage students to ask questions, even when they are unsure how to explain what they do not understand. I can help with homework, revision, preparation for tests and exams, improving foundational skills, and understanding difficult topics from school. I can also adapt lessons depending on whether a student needs more detailed explanation, additional practice, or more challenging questions. I’m available for both face-to-face and online tutoring and would be happy to work with students who want to improve their confidence as well as their results.
