I’m currently studying Secondary Education and Science at UNSW, majoring in Mathematics and Physics, with the goal of becoming a high school teacher. I offer both online and in-person tutoring for Chemistry, Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Standard 1 and 2, as well as Korean Beginners, Continuers and Korean in Context. My strongest subjects are Mathematics, Science and Korean. I am fluent in both Korean and English, having lived and studied in both Korea and Australia, which allows me to explain Korean concepts clearly in either language. Having completed the NSW high school system myself, I understand the expectations of Mathematics and Korean courses and can support students with both subject knowledge and assessment preparation. I currently work at a tutoring centre in an administrative role, where I am involved in organising and managing students’ learning plans. This has given me experience in understanding how lessons are structured, tracking student progress and selecting appropriate learning materials. I also have access to a range of teaching resources and practice materials that I can use to support and personalise lessons for each student. My tutoring style is patient, structured and adapted to each student’s level. I focus on breaking difficult concepts down step by step and making sure students understand why a method works rather than simply memorising an answer. For mathematics, I can help with understanding key concepts, homework, problem-solving, exam-style questions and preparation for school assessments. I am fluent in both Korean and English and can support students with Korean reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary. I can also explain difficult Korean concepts in English when needed, which can be especially helpful for beginner and intermediate students. Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Lessons can be tailored to each student’s goals, whether they want to catch up, stay ahead of school content, prepare for assessments or simply become more confident in the subject.
