I am currently a USYD student studying a Bachelor of Commerce, with a double major in Finance and Accounting. Through successful experiences within my own academic endeavours, I am capable of devising and improving efficient strategies to achieve optimal learning and results for my students.

Before commencing formal tutoring, I offer a complimentary consultation to discuss your academic goals, identify areas for improvement, and explore how I can best support your learning. This consultation also gives you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with my teaching approach and determine whether it is well suited to your individual needs, with no obligation to commit.
My Philosophy:
Throughout school, I was heavily involved in high-level basketball, which meant that my time was constantly divided between training, games, travel, recovery, schoolwork and other commitments. I often had to complete the same amount of academic work as everyone else, but with significantly less time available to do it. This taught me early on that success isn't always about working longer. Rather, it's about working smarter and knowing exactly where to focus your time. That experience has shaped the way I approach tutoring. I understand what it's like to be a student who has a demanding schedule and still wants to achieve at a high academic level. Rather than encouraging students to spend endless hours studying, I teach them how to work efficiently, prioritise what matters and maximise the marks they can achieve with the time they have available. This is particularly important in the IB, where students are constantly balancing assignments, exams, IAs, the EE, TOK and multiple subjects at once. I focus on teaching students exactly what they need to do, particularly for assessments and exams, so they can achieve higher marks without sacrificing their other commitments, interests and hobbies. I've worked with students with very different levels of motivation, organisation and prior ability, and I tailor my approach to each individual. Whether a student is highly motivated but time-poor, struggling to stay organised, or simply unsure of how to improve, I aim to build a strong rapport and develop strategies that work for them.
Through juggling sporting endeavours with my own academic goals, I understand that students are more than just their grades. My goal is to help each student achieve their academic potential while still having the time and energy to pursue the things they enjoy outside of school. I am committed to continually improving my approach and adapting my strategies to the changing demands of the IB so that my students can achieve the best possible results as efficiently as possible.
I provide tutoring for all subjects listed below, achieving a Band 7 or completing university level study to further develop my understanding:
- English Literature HL
- Economics SL and HL
- Business Management SL and HL
- Mathematics Applications and Interpretation (AI) SL
- Extended Essay in the subject of Sports, Exercise and Health Science
For younger students (Years 7-10): I offer tutoring for Maths, Science, and English, alongside video essay and general essay writing (e.g. History, Geography). I have ample experience in assisting students in younger years to root out problems early and build strong foundations before they enter the HSC or IB. I believe that the earlier years are critical, where seemingly minor efforts and changes can make pivotal improvements to a student’s long-term trajectory.
For HSC Preliminary course students (Year 11): I offer tutoring in Business Studies and general help in English, specifically focusing on the foundational skill of essay writing. I aim to help students establish strong academic foundations early in their stage 6 progression, developing their ability to structure arguments, respond directly to questions, use evidence effectively and write under timed conditions. Building these skills in Year 11 gives students a much stronger foundation heading into Year 12, where they can focus on refining their technique and maximising their results rather than trying to develop these skills from scratch.
Proofreading and marking for IAs and EEs, are charged at variable rates. For my students, I can generally do this free of extra charge.
Please feel free to contact me for questions and support! Happy to do initial free consults.
