UQ Prov. Med | 98.80 ATAR Hey there! I’m a second year biomed student at the University of Queensland with provisional entry into Medicine. I graduated from Southport State High with an ATAR of 98.80 and an Academic Commendation Award. ⭐ My year 12 results: Biology: 98 Chemistry: 97 Physics: 98 Methods: 93 Specialist: 86 English Literature: 91 As an international student who transitioned from Sri Lanka into year 11, I had to quickly adapt to the the QCAA curriculum and develop effective study strategies within a short time. Because of this, I understand how overwhelming senior school can feel, particularly when you are trying to figure out how and what to study. My goal is to teach more than just the syllabus. I want to help students develop the problem solving, exam style study skills that helped me get into medicine while making study feel systematic and sustainable throughout the year. As a marketing executive at UQSLA, I regularly connect with students and peers across different year levels, which has shaped my approach with students to be professional but personable. I'm passionate about conveying the knowledge I gained to help students to portray someone I wish I had during my schooling years :) I will be teaching both in person and online, using an iPad to demonstate and practise active recall questions, to make the content really stick!
