I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2024, achieving an IB score equivalent to a 95.00 ATAR. My higher level subjects were Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, and my standard level subjects were English Language and Literature, Mathematics AA and French ab initio. I tutor both IB and HSC students. The subjects I tutor are: Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Mathematics AA and French. ⭐ $65 per hour for both IB and HSC tutoring ⭐ I also provide feedback and advice on Internal Assessments (IAs), the Extended Essay (EE) and the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) essay and exhibition. Having sat the IB myself only recently, I know exactly what these courses demand and where students tend to lose marks. My lessons follow the syllabus closely, but I never treat coverage as the goal on its own. I make sure students genuinely understand the core concept underneath each topic, because that is what allows them to handle an unfamiliar question in an exam. I work through students' questions as they come up rather than putting them aside, and I provide notes so they leave each session with something they can revise from. With a detailed understanding of syllabus and curriculum requirements, exam styles, and rubrics and assessment criteria, my students are well equipped when they face difficult questions. My approach involves unpacking dense and intricate content in depth, with a strong emphasis on the fundamentals: past papers, exam-style questions and active recall.
