Bonjour ! As a parent myself, and a French Language Assistant who works in international and local schools, I know how much you want your child to feel confident when it comes to their French studies. First, I start by building speaking confidence. Some students working on their VCE path, write beautifully but freeze up when it's time to speak, while others just need a little push to feel comfortable expressing themselves out loud. Either way, we work on that together, at their pace. From there, we explore topics that tie directly into what they're covering in class : -general conversation (everyday life, self-presentation, family...) -other special topics from the VCE curriculum , so our sessions reinforce, rather than duplicate, what they're already learning. Throughout, I give ongoing feedback to help strengthen both their spoken and written French. My approach is always encouraging and empowering : I believe confidence grows naturally when students feel safe to speak, make mistakes, and try again. Each session lasts 30-45min. Students from Year 9 onwards, although most of my students are typically in Years 11 and 12. A bientôt!
