About

Currently accepting new students in 2026. Hi everyone, my name is Mia and I am currently a Masters of Education (Primary) student (aka a pre-service teacher) at Australian Catholic University. My aim as a tutor is to guide primary aged students (prep to year 6) in developing, practicing and solidifying their knowledge and skills so that they can confidently understand and apply the content being explored at school and beyond. I am responsive and empathetic, and strive to be a friendly educator who provides students with a safe space to express their difficulties and struggles from within the classroom. I, myself, love to learn, to be challenged and to work hard at what I do, and I wish the same of my students. I completed VCE in 2013, and graduated from Australian Catholic University with my Bachelor of Midwifery in 2018. Currently, I am completing my Master of Teaching (Primary) with a Graduate Certificate in Religious Education at ACU. Thus far in my Masters degree, I have successfully completed the below units: - Ready and Writing for the Early Years (Prep to Y2) (HD) - Foundations of Literacy (CR) - Foundations of Mathematics (DI) - The Arts (DI) - Humanities and Social Sciences (CR) - Technologies (PA) - Foundations of Development and Learning (DI) - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories, Cultures and Education (HD) - Learning and Teaching for Religious Education (DI) - Change and Continuity in Religious Education (CR) - Introducing the Scriptures (DI) - Theology (PA) The units I am currently completing this semester are: - Effective Teaching - Health and Physical Education - Inclusive Practice Services: Within my personalised tutoring service, I strive to be more than just another educator. I hope to encourage and inspire students toward becoming independent and lifelong learners, who seek to continually grow and challenge themselves in their education, with curiosity, positivity and confidence. To best support learners, I aim to tutor students frequently and for as long as possible to allow sufficient time to build a strong rapport. This also allows me to measure development and growth, identify gaps in knowledge, as well as tailor my practice to each student's preferred learning style to help achieve best outcomes. I will happily provide support via email or message from Monday-Friday, should students have questions, need reassurance, additional support or further clarification on their learnings. I have a valid Working With Children Check and Police Check, and am triple vaccinated against COVID-19. In 2025, I also volunteered in the Grade 1 classroom of a Catholic Primary School for 3 school terms. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss tutoring times, session packages or locations.

Mia is patient, calm in her approach and adapts her teaching style accordingly. She understands that children aren’t always in the mood for 1:1 learning and she makes the experience fun, engaging and meaningful.
