Hi, I'm Mackenzie, a UNSW Engineering student offering HSC tutoring in Mathematics and Physics. I achieved a 93.4 ATAR in the HSC and completed Mathematics Extension 2 (4 Unit Mathematics), giving me a strong understanding of the skills and problem-solving techniques required to succeed in senior mathematics. Having recently gone through the HSC myself, I understand the challenges students face when trying to improve their marks, manage workload, and prepare effectively for exams. My tutoring approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding, developing problem-solving skills, and teaching students how to confidently approach HSC-style questions. Rather than relying on memorisation, I help students understand the reasoning behind concepts so they can apply their knowledge to unfamiliar problems — a key skill for achieving strong HSC results. I provide personalised lessons tailored to each student's goals, whether they are looking to strengthen their foundations, catch up on difficult topics, improve exam technique, or push towards a higher ATAR. As an Engineering student at UNSW, I bring a structured and analytical approach to learning and can help students develop effective study habits, confidence, and the skills needed to succeed.
