Friendly and experienced online Latin Tutor
Hi everyone!
I’m Ivana, a Master’s student in Classics and Archaeology currently studying in Italy. I completed a four-year Diploma in Languages (Latin) at the University of Melbourne with First Class Honours, as well as a BA in Ancient World Studies, and I have experience as a Latin Teaching Assistant at Haileybury. I also gained work experience in the education team at the Hellenic Museum in Melbourne.
I am very passionate about Ancient Rome and the wonderful language that developed there!
I offer 1-on-1 online Latin tutoring for all year groups, including VCE and HSC Latin. I can help students build confidence with grammar, translation, set texts, and exam preparation. I am also available to provide feedback on any written work outside of lesson hours. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, with a focus on making Latin engaging, approachable, and rewarding.

I had the pleasure of supervising Ivana in her role as a Latin Language Assistant. Ivana was exceptionally well-organized, trustworthy, and competent in both the material and her teaching methods. With her "can-do" attitude, Ivana was constantly solving problems for our teaching team from the campuses where she was based. She took the initiative to make the program the best it could be without being asked and raised the standard expectations of the role. She even wrote a guide to assist future language assistants. Students cite her willingness to help, her depth of knowledge, and her confident kindness as attributes of her teaching that they appreciated deeply. Her love of languages, ancient history, and the connections between these disciplines and the modern world made Latin both practical and enjoyable for the students who were lucky enough to work with her.
