⚡ HSC Advanced Mathematics ⚡ HSC Advanced English ⚡ K-12 Mathematics & English Hi! My name is Steve Kennedy, and I’m currently studying Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Newcastle. I graduated from St Francis Xavier’s College, Hamilton, and have several years of tutoring experience supporting students across Years 6–12. Having recently completed the HSC myself, I understand the demands of the NSW curriculum and the importance of developing strong foundations while also learning how to approach assessments and exams effectively. My experience in Advanced Mathematics and English has given me a strong understanding of the skills required throughout high school, particularly in problem-solving, analytical writing, essay structure and exam technique. I take an individualised and structured approach to tutoring. Every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to their current ability, learning style and goals. I focus not only on helping students improve their marks, but also on building their confidence and developing study habits that they can use independently. As a tutor, I help students across: Mathematics: Problem-solving, mathematical concepts, exam preparation, homework support, assessment preparation and developing strong foundations. English: Essay writing, comprehension, analytical writing, creative writing, textual analysis, assessment preparation and exam technique. Science: Biology and Chemistry support, content revision, understanding difficult concepts, assessment preparation and study techniques. Study & Academic Skills: Time management, study planning, note-taking, exam preparation and developing effective independent learning habits. I also have experience working with students across different year groups and abilities, allowing me to adjust the pace and level of difficulty to suit each individual student. My goal is to make difficult content easier to understand while giving students the skills and confidence to perform independently.
