I'm a maths and computer science student at the ANU (studying them in a PhB) with a 7.0/7.0 GPA in my maths and computer science subjects. In high school I did the IB where I got a 43/45 (ATAR equivalent 99.1), with 7's (top band) in Mathematics AA HL, Computer Science HL, and Philosophy HL. I'm confident in teaching mathematics, and computer science for all high school curriculums, as well as IB Philosophy and TOK. In terms of teaching maths, I like to try and slow down from the more computational approach that schools take and focus on building understanding before getting students to move on to practices. I find it helps students of all abilities properly comprehend what they are doing instead of merely performing rote calculations. I can teach to any current skill level for years 9-12, as I believe that learning mathematics (alongside computer science and philosophy) is a matter of effort and passion rather than inherent ability.
