Im Hailey an international student studying at UNSW. I’m from singapore(native language is English). I scored straight A’s for my primary school leaving examinations, mostly A’s except for geography and also scored within the top 5% of my high school during internal examinations consistently. I was in a selective middle school and high school and was in their talent development program for the top 5% of the cohort. I have experience tutoring peers and students since I was 17. I have also volunteered to tutor children with special needs such as dyslexia and adhd and have volunteered with organisations and hospitals that works with people with mental health conditions. I am calm, patient, fun and prepared every lesson. I will do my due diligence when it comes to researching about NSW school curriculum and objectives of the curriculum to ensure that lessons stay relevant to the pupils. I will also review past exams and worksheets done by the pupil before the commencement of lessons this is to ensure I have a grasp of the student’s level of understanding. I prepare a lesson plan, and sometimes worksheets as well for the lesson. If needed I can also make notes for the students , however I’d like to encourage and guide students on making notes themselves as it’s a good skill to have.
