Hi, I’m Adeline! I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Flinders University across the Bedford Park and Tonsley campuses. During Year 12, I studied Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, English, Biology and Chemistry, with Mathematics and English being my favourite subjects. I achieved an A+ in English, a high A in Mathematics, and an A in Chemistry, as well as a Merit for my Research Project. This has given me a strong foundation in both STEM and English, and I’d be happy to assist students with Research Project skills if needed. As a tutor, my teaching style is patient, supportive and adaptable. I understand that every student learns differently, so I like to explain concepts in different ways and work at a pace that makes the student feel comfortable. I also focus on helping students understand why something works rather than simply memorising an answer. I can help students build their confidence, understanding and study skills, particularly in Year 1-12 English, Mathematical Methods, and Chemistry, while also helping them develop better and more effective study habits. I can assist students with understanding difficult concepts, working through challenging questions, improving their writing and problem-solving skills, and developing strategies to approach their schoolwork more independently (available to help with exam preparation, assignments, and tests!!!). I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking their time to understand a concept without feeling judged. I believe that building confidence is just as important as improving academic results, as students are more likely to engage with their learning when they feel capable and supported. My goal is not only to help students improve their marks, but also to help them become more confident, motivated and independent learners. I am free to help out online everyday except Thursday (can be arranged), as well as travel to places or library based on time provided!
