About
IB English Literature HL: 7/7, GAT 50/50 (Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences), WWCC
Hi, I'm Thisaly.
I am a University of Melbourne Commerce student and graduate of Methodist Ladies' College, with a lifelong passion for language and literature - library card always at the ready.
I believe literature should feel enriching not intimidating. I help students approach their studies with confidence and curiosity. To learn more about my approach and how I can support your child, please contact me to arrange a complimentary consultation.
APPROACH
Tailored lessons focus on building strong foundational skills and sophisticated analytical thinking. I aim to develop students' confidence in engaging with complex texts and to strengthen their clarity of expression, building an enduring fascination with literature.
For senior students, I emphasize exam technique, structured responses, and close analysis aligned with assessment criteria, alongside deep textual engagement. For younger students, I prioritize reading fluency and expression, comprehension, early exposure to close analysis, and engagement with rich prose.
I work with students to identify textual ideas that resonate, refine their essay structure, and approach nuanced texts with assurance.
