My name is Alex. I am currently studying a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sydney, after completing my Bachelor of Veterinary Bioscience in 2025. I graduated from Pymble Ladies’ College with excellent results as an HSC All-Rounder, and I have now been tutoring both privately and through tutoring companies for over two and a half years. Through my tutoring experience and academic background in veterinary medicine, biology, and chemistry, I have developed a strong understanding of how to help students succeed across a range of subjects. I am extremely familiar with the syllabus, including the new English syllabus, and I understand the skills, content, and exam techniques needed to perform well in school assessments and final exams. My teaching style is highly adaptable to each student’s individual learning needs. I aim to create lessons that are supportive, engaging, and easy to follow, while building confidence and helping students develop strong study habits. I believe that with the right guidance, every student can improve significantly and approach their subjects with more clarity and confidence. As a tutor, I am especially suited to helping students in: • Biology: Core content, exam preparation, extended responses, and mastering difficult concepts. • Chemistry: Theory, problem-solving, revision strategies, and improving confidence with calculations and application questions. • English: Essay writing, textual analysis, creative writing, and developing strong exam technique. • University applications: Guidance for students interested in applying for veterinary medicine and related courses, alongside assistance with application essays. I am passionate about animals and biology, and I enjoy helping students not only improve their marks but also build genuine interest in what they are learning. I am available for online tutoring 7 days a week, and I can also offer in-person tutoring around the city and inner west, as I am based in Redfern.
