Hi! My name is Charlie, and I am currently a first year student studying Civil Engineering and Finance at the University of Sydney, graduating from Perth Modern School, and achieving an ATAR of 99.30. I offer one-on-one online Maths tutoring for primary and secondary students up to year 10. The subjects I performed the best in during school were Math Specialist, Math Methods (equivalent of Extension 1&2), Chemistry and Physics which were all taught at Perth Modern School which is one of the most selective schools in Australia. I strongly believe that to be skilled in Maths, one needs to fully understand the subject itself rather than memorise formulas. Thus, my lessons are aimed at developing fundamental knowledge and ability to visualize concepts before moving on to exam preparation. In every lesson, I will make sure to assess the areas that require attention and cover them through step-by-step explanations with worked examples and practice exercises. Once the foundation is built, I am willing to cover previous exam papers and exam-style questions as well. I also use any textbooks or school resources that my student might have. My approach to lessons is quite relaxed, and I will do my best to accommodate your individual needs when it comes to pacing and materials. As I am bilingual in English and Mandarin, I am able to deliver my lessons in either of the two languages.
