Some students are already high performing and want a more efficient, exam focused way to push higher. Others have fallen behind, lost confidence, or become overwhelmed by the pace of senior maths and need calm, structured support to rebuild foundations and catch up properly. My approach is diagnostic and targeted. Before rushing through more content, I look for the specific issues holding a student back, such as: - topic gaps - recurring mistakes - weak algebra or working habits - exam technique issues - unclear study priorities Lessons are then built around clear explanations, active problem-solving, past-paper-style thinking, and regular consolidation. I focus on helping students understand why methods work, not just memorise steps, because this is especially important in advanced maths and STEM subjects. I also take academic integrity seriously. I can help students understand concepts, improve problem-solving, prepare for exams, and plan their study effectively, but students must complete and author their own assessment work.
