Hi, I’m Sam. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Finance, Economics, and Statistics at ANU. I completed the IB Diploma in November 2025 with a score of 43.5, equivalent to a 99.25 ATAR (IB Dux). My strongest subjects were English Literature HL, Maths AI SL, Chinese SL, and Theatre HL, where I achieved 7s. I achieved strong 6s in Psychology SL and Sports, Exercise and Health Science and am confident to tutor in them as well. I also received an A in both TOK and my Extended Essay. As a tutor, I try to make lessons clear, practical and confidence-building. I know how stressful IB can feel, so I focus on breaking difficult tasks into manageable steps and helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for. I also help with planning, essay structure, analysis, revision strategies and improving written responses. For English, I can help students develop stronger arguments, improve close analysis, structure essays more effectively and prepare for Paper 1, Paper 2, or oral assessments. For Theatre, I can help with written coursework, performance ideas, research, reflection and making sure work is clearly linked to the criteria. For Maths AI, I can help students build confidence with core concepts, exam-style problem solving, calculator use and clear working. I enjoy working with students in a supportive and encouraging way. My aim is to help students feel more prepared, more organised and more confident going into assessments. I am here to help every step of the way, and I believe a growth mindset can make a huge difference.
