Hi! My name is Lara and I received a 98.90 ATAR, ranked 8th in the state for Modern History and was DUX of my School. I'm keen to share my tips and tricks I learnt as well as insights from HSC Markers to help other students unlock their academic potential. I scored 98/100 in Modern History, 95/100 in Business Studies, 93/100 in English Advanced, 93/100 in Legal Studies and 47/50 in History Extension. I also ranked 1st in my cohort internally and externally for each of these subjects. I love marking, crazy I know. I love teaching students the content, but the joy I get it seeing them put the content into effect through practice responses then getting to mark it and provide students constructive feedback to improve. The HSC is all about repetition and memorising the types of question you may get asked and pre-preparing how to answer those questions. Sometimes weekly tutoring isn't what a student needs. I offer intensive tutoring sessions when assessment or trial periods come around, with 24/7 marking and questions at any time for regular students. I also have a wide range of resources available, including comprehensive notes, essays, essay plans and reports that helped me achieve 20/20 internally and in the HSC. I offer tutoring in and around the Oran Park area. I most frequently tutor at the Oran Park Library, but I am also available to travel to students homes that are in relative proximity to the area! I also have a WWCC.
