About

I am currently a PhD candidate in Computer Science and an active musician specialising in clarinet performance, composition, and arranging. I offer tutoring in Computer Science, STEM-related subjects, and Music. I have been teaching since 2016, with students ranging from primary school through to postgraduate university level. In Computer Science, I hold tutor, laboratory demonstrator, and course/assessment development roles across undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UNSW Sydney. My teaching experience includes foundations of computer science, discrete mathematics, algorithm analysis, and privacy engineering. I maintain student satisfaction ratings consistently above school and faculty averages. In Music, I teach clarinet, music theory, aural skills, composition, and NSW HSC Music 1, 2, and Extension. I have successfully prepared students for AMEB exams, HSC performance and written components, auditions, scholarships, competitions, and public performances. My students range from complete beginners to advanced performers and adult learners. I have also been involved with various public and private schools across Sydney for instrumental tuition, ensemble direction, composition workshops, and recording workshops; I continue to contribute to these on an occasional basis. I enjoy helping students achieve their goals in a thorough, efficient, and supportive manner. My teaching style emphasises strong foundational understanding, effective technique, and intuitive problem-solving. Beyond assessment results, I moreover find importance in helping students develop genuine curiosity and fundamental, long-term understanding in their studies. For 2026, my in-person availability is generally limited to Thursdays and Saturdays, though online lessons are more flexible. My rate is $110/hr.
