Hi! I’m Shruti, a first year uni student studying a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). I really enjoy learning and helping others learn in a way that feels relaxed, supportive and easy to understand! I try to create a calm and friendly space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence at their own pace. My teaching style is flexible and really depends on what each student needs most. I adjust how I explain things based on their learning style, confidence level, and goals. Sometimes that just means breaking things down step by step, other times it’s focusing on exam technique, or just working through example together until it click. A big focus for me is helping students build strong foundations and study habits that actually work for them, so they can feel more confident and less stressed over time. One of my favourite and best subject at school was English. I did decently well in my HSC trial examination, by coming first in the entire grade, which led to me ending up with a raw mark of 91 on my HSC exam. I feel that through consistent practise and learning how to approach the exam, I was able to achieve the best possible result I could. I’d love to work with students and families to help build confidence, improve results, and make learning feel a bit less overwhelming. Besides this, I love sport!! Growing up, sport had always been apart of me, and it has stayed with me for many years now. Over the years, I have done Tennis, Swimming, and several different Martial Arts. Currently, I hold a black belt in Kyokushin, and have been doing Kyokushin for over a decade. Along with this, I have also been teaching a range of students for over 5 years as an instructor at the dojo. I feel that teaching as an instructor at my dojo has helped me become a better tutor, as my style is mainly focused on catering to the students needs, whatever it may be!
