I’m a recent HSC graduate (97.6 ATAR, School DUX) currently undertaking a Bachelor of Medical & Health Sciences degree. I completed the UCATANZ in 2026 with a total score of 2450, excelling in Decision Making (880) and Quantitative Reasoning (900). I achieved strong results across my HSC subjects, including English Advanced (93), English Extension 2 (48/50), Biology (95), and Physics (90 internals), and I use this experience to help students build both confidence and consistency in their performance. Rather than just going through content, I teach students how to: - Structure high-scoring essays and responses - Interpret and target marking criteria - Write with clarity, confidence, and precision under exam conditions - Avoid common mistakes that cost marks Lesson Structure & Approach: UCAT: Throughout my preparation, I spent hundreds of hours refining strategies, analysing mistakes, and learning what genuinely works to improve scores across each subsection. I know firsthand how overwhelming UCAT preparation can feel. With so much conflicting advice available, it's easy to spend countless hours practising without making meaningful progress. That's why my focus is on teaching students how to think through UCAT questions, rather than simply memorising techniques. During lessons, we will: - Break down the format, timing, and question make-up of the exam. - Go over high-yield strategies for each UCAT subsection. - Develop time-management techniques to maximise marks under pressure. - Learn how to recognise common question patterns and avoid frequent mistakes. - Build a clear revision plan to continue improving between sessions. HSC English (Advanced, Extension 1 & 2): For English Advanced, I have studied: - The Crucible (Common Module) - The Tempest & Hag-Seed (Module A) - T. S. Eliot (Module B) I can provide detailed, text-specific support for these texts, but more importantly, I can help you master essay writing (structure, clarity, sophistication), short answer responses, creative writing, and exam technique regardless of text. For Extension 1, I have done the Literary Mindscapes elective. For Extension 2, I completed the short fiction form, but I’m also well-versed in creative non-fiction and critical response. I can help with: - Major work development - Reflection statements - In-school assessment tasks - Refining ideas and elevating writing style HSC Biology: I combine clear explanations of complex content with a strong focus on exam technique, because I know from experience that the content itself is only 50% of the marks. My explanations are guided by visual representations and syllabus based notes, so you know for certain that you're not missing out on any essential information. I adopt an active learning approach, where I constantly ask questions and require you to write your own notes throughout the lesson . This ensure that you are not just listening, but also learning. This is ideal for students who require detailed feedback and HSC-style marking, but don't want to book a lesson. Note that if you do book a lesson, this will be FREE and included in lessons.
