IB 45 | 99.95 ATAR | UNSW Medicine | 96th UCAT | DUX of IB Chem | DUX of IB German | 100+ HOURS of Experience Hi! 👋🏼 I'm Ethan, a first-year medicine student at UNSW, who recently graduated in 2025 from Trinity Grammar School. I achieved a perfect IB score of 45 (IBAS 45.75), which equates to a 99.95 ATAR 📊. During Years 11 and 12, I had to balance my academics alongside many co-curricular commitments, which included Basketball, Football, Duke of Ed and Band. With limited time to study, I developed a highly efficient system that focused on understanding the IB marking criteria, rather than just putting in more hours. I now help students in similar time-poor situations learn how to triage effectively and gain the practical skills they need to achieve their dream ATAR or course 🩺. How can I help? What sets me apart from other tutors is that I've experienced being at both the top and bottom of a cohort. At the end of Year 11, I scored a 10/20 in my English GLA, which left me feeling demotivated, because my goal of studying Medicine was slipping away. However, by changing my approach, I developed clear, learnable methods for essay structure and analysis that aligns with what examiners are actually looking for - skills which aren't explicitly taught at school. This led me to achieve a Band 7 in English Literature 🙋🏼‍♂️. These experiences allow me to personalise my lessons to improve each student's specific skills and weaknesses, regardless of their starting point - something my students have consistently found to be valuable. Moreover, as I was part of the first cohort (2025) to undertake the new IB syllabus in Chemistry, Physics and Business Management, I can offer up-to-date insights and strategies that many older tutors cannot 🔥.
