99.1 ATAR | 99.6% Across internal assessment | UQ Engineering Hi, I'm Sid: a dedicated high school tutor driven to help students maximise their academic potential. As someone who has been through the depths of the senior high school years, I relate to the pressure, self-doubt, and effort we have to put in just to stay afloat. I understand that reading people's crazy ATARs can make you feel incapable or like an imposter, but I'm here to tell you that is more than okay! I too felt like I may not be able to enter my degree, which was a minimum ATAR of 97, but I managed to push through and stay resilient until I saw real progress, and that is what I aspire to achieve with my students. I understand that every student learns in a different way, as I spent my final two years of high school self-learning and helping my peers. Learning should be tailored to an individual, whether that be through reinforcing fundamentals, working on conceptual understandings, or practice; especially when everything piles on each other at once. My approach helps to break down complex ideas into simple manageable steps to build confidence in students to start seeing real progress. Currently, I am studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering at the University of Queensland. After learning about people's personal experiences and how they progressed through their final year I realised the sheer significance of a mentor and someone that you can go to for the unanswerable. Hence, I have started my own tutoring business to help support high school students into becoming the best versions of themselves! My personal credentials are the subjects I took in high school, being Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, General English, Chemistry & Physics. In total I lost 1 mark across my internal assessments and I received a minimum of an A across my externals, achieving an ATAR of 99.1. Through tutoring I aspire to provide mentorship and share my knowledge and skills to maximise the academic potential of my students.
